Vital Sponsored Charity Events

DJitalEssence initially began her first running event in 2008 when she entered the Women's 10K in Glasgow, she enjoyed the challenge that this gave her and saw that she could raise money to help others by entering events such as these. She completed the same event in 2009, beat her time and then just recently smashed it in May 2010 finishing the race in 54mins 54secs!

DJitalEssence was introduced to a family and a young girl, Naseem who was suffering from the effects of living with cancer in the form of a brain tumour at the tender age of 20. It was through meeting Naseem and spending time with this family that DJitalEssence was inspired to do all she can to try to support others in any way she can by entering events such as these.

DJitalEssence hopes in the future as her collective grows that other members will join her in future events and help to raise more funds to help others for causes that they also wish to support.

Events for 2010

After successfully running the ladies 10K this year DJitalEssence will be stepping things up to enter the The 2010 Great Scottish Run Half marathon on 5th September 2010. Donations received for this event will be sent to the "Love Music, Hate Racism" Campaign!

Now she is getting into the swing of keeping up with the training required for such events she is hoping she can raise the bar to enter a London marathon next!
